SOPHIE ARSENEAU

I’m 11 years old and I am in grade six at Florenceville middle school.  My favorite style of art is a tie between cartooning and oil pastel.  My art teacher is Brigitte Rivers, who actually helped me get here, so thank you Brigitte!  I have been drawing ever since I was a little kid. It started out with crayons and construction paper and now I’m illustrating my mom’s poetry book, When Pigs Fly and other Poems, coming soon from Chapel Street Editions. I am excited to be a featured young artist at Creek Village Gallery!   My style of art is fun, colorful drawings with a story behind the idea of each drawing or painting. Each piece of art is important to me but some I would prefer to work on more, like ones I did last year and maybe want to redo. All in all, I love art and I would like to thank Creek Village Gallery for letting me display my work for the month of June and for promoting my art!
